Good reference book

This book is very factual, and I have the impression that the author's point of view does not bias the information, although dealing with politically sensitive information. It starts with a very clear timeline of the history of Taiwan. This immediately gave a good overview of events and their place in time. The rest of the book is an alphabetical list of terms with explanation. This part is really more a reference work, and is not really suitable for reading from A to Z. Also, a lot of attention is paid to political persons and details (a bit too much politics in my opinion). A lot of terms from politics and economics are used, which sometimes makes it hard to read (especially if English is not your first language).
All in all a very good reference book. The way to use it: Read the timeline, and then look up the terms you want to know more about in the reference list.
